Gwangju and Jeonnam will remain in subzero temperatures in the mornings until the weekend, experiencing very cold weather.


According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 10th, as of noon that day, the heavy snow advisory was lifted for most areas of Gwangju and Jeonnam, resulting in a brief lull. However, it is forecast that from late afternoon, snow will fall again at a rate of 1 to 3 centimeters per hour and continue until the following day.


The lowest temperatures tomorrow morning are expected to be -8 degrees Celsius in Jangseong and Gokseong, -7 degrees in Yeonggwang, Damyang, Naju, Hwasun, Yeongam, and Boseong, -6 degrees in Hampyeong, Goheung, and Gurye, -5 degrees in Gwangju, Muan, Jangheung, Suncheon, and Gwangyang, -4 degrees in Haenam and Gangjin, -3 degrees in Mokpo, Yeosu, and Shinan, -2 degrees in Wando, and -1 degree in Jindo.


The highest daytime temperatures will be 5 degrees Celsius in Suncheon, Gwangyang, Goheung, Wando, and Jindo; 4 degrees in Gurye, Yeosu, Jangheung, Haenam, and Gangjin; 3 degrees in Gwangju, Damyang, Hampyeong, Muan, Shinan, Naju, Mokpo, Yeongam, Boseong, and Gokseong; 2 degrees in Jangseong; and 1 degree in Yeonggwang, showing a higher distribution than the previous day.


Waves on the sea will range from 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the offshore areas of the West and South Seas. Fine dust concentrations in both Gwangju and Jeonnam are expected to remain at 'moderate' levels.


An official from the Korea Meteorological Administration said, "As icy roads and black ice are expected on back roads, alleys, sloped roads, and shaded roads where temperatures are low, please pay special attention to traffic and pedestrian safety."
