Minister Oh Young-joo Discusses Growth Support with Startup CEOs

Representatives from 10 Companies, Including Aldeba, Attend Roundtable Meeting

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 10th that it held a meeting with startup CEOs who achieved outstanding results in 'Challenge! K-Startup' at Tipstown S6 in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.


Hosted by Minister Oh Young-joo, this meeting was organized to review the recent startup ecosystem and discuss effective growth support measures based on the opinions of startups.

Representatives from 10 companies, including Aldeba, participated to share their main items and startup stories, envision future growth roadmaps, and freely exchange opinions on the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' startup support policies.


The startup CEOs attending the meeting proposed expanding global advancement through overseas exhibitions, securing and nurturing talent, and expanding public-private cooperation demonstration infrastructure to foster corporate growth.


In his opening remarks, Minister Oh Young-joo said, “The teams participating today are Korea’s representative startups verified through multiple evaluations,” and added, “The Ministry of SMEs and Startups will do its best to strengthen the startup ecosystem so that domestic startups possessing promising technologies such as deep tech can grow into global startups.”


Meanwhile, 'Challenge! K-Startup' is the largest domestic startup competition operated collaboratively by 10 government ministries including the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. In 2024, a total of 6,238 teams participated, and on December 12 last year, the final award-winning teams (20 teams) were selected (competition rate 312:1). This year, 12 preliminary leagues will be held, including the newly added content league.
