Yangsan-si Implements Customized Support Program for Small Business Owners

Yangsan City in Gyeongnam is promoting the ‘Small Business Small-scale Management Environment Improvement Support Project’ and the ‘Small Business Digital Infrastructure Support Project’ to alleviate the management cost burden of small business owners struggling due to the economic downturn and to support their continuous growth.

The Small-scale Management Environment Improvement Support Project provides support for improving internal and external facilities of business sites, such as replacing outdoor signs, interior improvements, and restroom upgrades. Businesses that have already benefited from the same project are excluded from support. The Digital Infrastructure Support Project supports the installation of kiosks, table orders, smart orders, unmanned vending machines, serving robots, and more to help small business owners secure competitiveness and self-reliance in response to changes in the digital environment.

The support scale will select about 39 locations for the Small-scale Management Environment Improvement Support Project and about 10 locations for the Digital Infrastructure Support Project, providing up to 2 million KRW (within 70% of the supply price). Eligible applicants are small business owners who have been operating in Yangsan City for more than six months as of the announcement date, and selection will be made through a comprehensive evaluation of annual sales, business operation period, store area, and other factors.

The application period is from January 10 to February 7. Applications and required documents can be submitted in person to the Minsaeng Economy Division of Yangsan City Hall or sent by registered mail. A representative from Yangsan City stated, “Through the Small Business Small-scale Management Environment Improvement Support Project and the Small Business Digital Infrastructure Support Project, we will actively support small business owners to grow into more competitive enterprises,” adding, “We plan to continuously expand various support measures for the management stability and growth of small business owners.”
