Governor Kim Taeheum Holds Meeting with Executives of the Korean American Chamber of Commerce in the Americas

Chungnam Province announced on the 10th that Governor Kim Taeheum, who is currently on a business trip to the United States to attract outside investment and pioneer overseas markets, held a meeting with executives of the Federation of Korean American Chambers of Commerce at the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on the 9th (local time).

About ten people attended the meeting, including Lee Kyungchul, President of the Federation of Korean American Chambers of Commerce, Senior Vice President Kaejeon, and Vice President Han Odong.

Governor Kim introduced Chungnam as a driving force of the Korean economy, highlighting the following: the No. 1 project of "Himssen Chungnam," Bay Valley; a record $107.5 billion in exports in 2022; and ranking first nationwide in trade balance.

In particular, regarding Bay Valley, he explained, "It is about creating future growth engines by bringing cutting-edge industries such as mobile, display, hydrogen, and automotive to the Asan Bay area, which is just one hour from the Seoul metropolitan area."

Governor Kim added, "With Dangjin and Pyeongtaek ports, logistics are resolved, and there are many universities, so there is no problem with workforce supply. The big framework is already in place," asking for the Korean American community's attention.

He also stated, "We are seeking ways to expand overseas advancement of local companies," and revealed, "We plan to operate a Chungnam Pavilion at this year's World Korean Business Convention."

The World Korean Business Convention will be held in Atlanta, USA, from April 17 to 20, with 50 small and venture companies from Chungnam Province expected to participate in the Chungnam Pavilion.
