Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) announced that it has been selected as a Grade A, the highest rating, in the "2024 Local Price Stability Management Evaluation" conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, securing a special grant of 50 million KRW.

This evaluation was conducted on 243 local governments nationwide based on a total of 12 indicators across five areas: ▲local public utility price stability management ▲support for activation of Good Price Stores ▲personal service fee inflation rate ▲local price stability efforts, and more.

In response to the high inflation era, the district achieved the top institution award by promoting various projects such as expanding the discovery of Good Price Stores, freezing and reducing local public utility fees, and conducting price stabilization campaigns.

In particular, 68 Good Price Stores were selected within the region, receiving generous promotion and financial support. Through this, stores maintaining reasonable prices despite difficult economic conditions were encouraged, curbing the rise in personal service fees and alleviating the economic burden on residents.

Additionally, freezing and reducing local public utility fees helped ease the residents' fee burdens. Furthermore, by conducting price stabilization campaigns and price tag inspections simultaneously, cooperation between residents and merchants was strengthened, establishing a fair economic order.

These efforts were evaluated to have increased residents' perception of price stability and positively impacted the revitalization of the local economy.

The selection as the top institution reflects the district's systematic and responsible administration and cooperation-centered policies involving residents and merchants. Based on this achievement, the district plans to further strengthen the stability of residents' lives.
