"Assemblyman, Please Protect the Country"... 'Yoon Supporter' Actor Cha Gang-seok Takes a Photo with Kim Min-jeon"

Controversy Arises Over Remarks Saying "Welcome Martial Law"

Musical actor Cha Gang-seok (35), who made remarks supporting martial law, once again showed support for President Yoon Seok-yeol.

On the 8th, Cha Gang-seok shared a photo on his Instagram with the phrase "Assemblyman, please protect the country." In the photo, he was holding a Taegeukgi flag and looking at the camera alongside Kim Min-jeon, a member of the People Power Party. He also posted another message saying, "Today, I participated in a rally in front of the presidential residence and from around nine in the evening, I turned off the broadcast and acted as the host at the rally," adding, "I spent a warm snowy winter day talking, singing, and dancing with many patriots. I will strive to be a person who is not ashamed to those who support me." It appears that Cha Gang-seok participated in a rally opposing the impeachment of President Yoon.

Previously, on December 28 last year, Cha Gang-seok gave a speech at a rally opposing President Yoon's impeachment. He said, "My heart is heavy. Yesterday (the 27th), Prime Minister Han Duck-soo was impeached, accused of dereliction of duty and being an accomplice to rebellion," and questioned, "Is exercising the veto power, seeking consultation with both parties, reviewing more carefully, and making a cautious decision on matters that determine the fate of the country considered dereliction of duty?"

He continued, "Rebellion is a major conflict that occurs within a country to seize power. Those who recklessly use impeachment to seize power, following the Bible of socialist revolution to create an anarchic state and usurp power, are the ones committing rebellion." He also said, "Not only is this Korean Peninsula divided in half, but now even the half-land is being split further, trying to kill each other. This is something that An Jung-geun would lament from heaven," adding, "We can never tolerate anti-state forces trying to overthrow the country."

Cha Gang-seok previously faced backlash for remarks supporting President Yoon's declaration of martial law. He posted on his Instagram, "There are too many spies. Welcome martial law. Please catch all the spies and execute them." However, as the controversy grew, he later revealed that he was notified of dismissal from his contract position.

Meanwhile, born in 1990, Cha Gang-seok has mainly been active on musical and performance stages. He has appeared in various works such as 'We Make Your Love Come True,' 'Heart Signal,' 'Romeo and Juliet,' and 'A Killer Story.'
