Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Byeongno) announced on the 8th that it is recruiting literacy instructors until the 21st to provide customized education, such as Korean language instruction, to adults who missed out on educational opportunities.
Adult literacy education is a lifelong learning program that aims to improve the quality of life for seniors by providing practical literacy education necessary for daily life, such as basic Korean language education and the use of tablet PCs for financial transactions and kiosks.
Eligible applicants must have a literacy educator certificate or a certificate of completion from a literacy teacher training course conducted by the National Institute for Lifelong Education or a city/provincial institute, and be a resident registered in Damyang-gun.
Applications can be submitted by downloading the application form and related documents from the Damyang-gun website or the Damyang-gun Lifelong Learning Information Center notice board, completing them on a computer (not handwritten, including in Hangul), and sending them by email.
