Neuromeka is showing strong performance. The news that it will actively showcase its AI-based imitation learning technology at 'CES 2025,' the world's largest technology (IT) and home appliance exhibition, seems to be influencing its stock price. The combined market capitalization of Rainbow Robotics and Doosan Robotics, competitors in the domestic collaborative robot market, has exceeded 4 trillion won. Neuromeka, with a market capitalization of only 320 billion won, is strengthening its competitiveness in the collaborative robot market based on its AI technology capabilities.
As of 2:41 PM on the 9th, Neuromeka is trading at 30,750 won, up 3.54% from the previous day.
Neuromeka's strategy is to actively promote its technological capabilities and strengthen its market position in line with the rise of the AI robot market by unveiling new technologies at CES.
Imitation Learning technology is a core robotic technology that enables AI to learn from human task demonstration data so that robots can flexibly reproduce complex movements and patterns. It can implement delicate human-level motions even in unstructured tasks or complex environments where traditional teach pendants were difficult to use for instruction. It is attracting attention as a 'next-generation innovative technology' that will elevate the automation level of industrial sites to the next stage.
Neuromeka first unveiled its imitation learning function domestically in the first half of last year and recently equipped its collaborative robot 'Indy' with this feature as a standard. Through the teach pendant application 'Conty,' it provides an easy-to-use process for everyone, from data collection to loading learned motions necessary for imitation learning. Conty is developed based on Android, allowing users without specialized robot knowledge to use it intuitively. A major feature is that learned imitation learning skills can be loaded with a single touch and immediately applied to work processes.
Neuromeka is preparing various proofs of concept (PoC) to apply imitation learning technology to actual industrial automation processes, including automation of motor production at its own factory, automation of secondary battery production, and advancement of F&B cooking processes.
A Neuromeka representative explained, "AI robot technology is no longer a story of the distant future but has become a realistic solution accessible to everyone," adding, "Through the collaborative robot Indy equipped with imitation learning technology and the application Conty, it is possible to reproduce delicate and creative human work methods."
Amid global daily attention on AI, Neuromeka is accelerating research and development of robot AI functions such as imitation learning, reinforcement learning, and voice instruction. With AI-based robot automation technology gaining attention starting from CES 2025, the collaborative robots equipped with imitation learning functions introduced by Neuromeka are expected to bring new changes to the manufacturing industry.
When Neuromeka went public in 2022, it identified Rainbow Robotics and Doosan Robotics as competitors. At that time, Neuromeka explained that its main technological product, the collaborative robot automation platform, is not limited to collaborative robot hardware but is an automation platform product based on safety technology, instruction technology, and expansion technology, differentiating it from competing manufacturers that supply only collaborative robot arms and controllers.
Considering the growing size of the domestic collaborative robot market and the decreasing market share of foreign robots, Neuromeka is estimated to achieve a market share similar to that of Denso and Doosan Robotics.
