Wolseong Headquarters proved its excellence in security and safety by ranking 2nd overall among external organizations and securing 1st and 3rd places within KHNP.

This competition was organized to strengthen security and safety capabilities by preemptively blocking the entry of hazardous materials using X-ray technology.

A total of about 370 participants from various organizations, including the Presidential Security Service, KHNP, Korea Airports Corporation, and government offices, competed fiercely.

Team members Lee Jeong-hoon and Lee Young-jun from the Wolseong Headquarters Security Police Unit were able to achieve excellent results in this competition based on their skilled X-ray security work.

The awards received by the two teams demonstrate Wolseong Headquarters’ thorough security management system and the high professionalism of its staff, further contributing to enhancing the status of security screening at nationally important facilities.

Jung Won-ho, head of Wolseong Headquarters, said, “This award for the Security Police Unit is the result of the safety management system at Wolseong Nuclear Power Headquarters and the dedicated efforts of the security police. We will continue to prioritize safety as our top value and strengthen the trust of the local community and the public.”
