Forgot to Buy Physical Lottery Ticket
Chance for Instant Fortune Vanished in Vain
Two men got into a fistfight in front of a lottery shop in Malaysia. They were close friends who had chosen lottery numbers together and won first prize, but one friend forgot to buy the physical lottery ticket, causing them to lose the opportunity.
According to local Malaysian online media 'WeiredKaya' and others, on the 26th of last month (local time), two men engaged in a heated physical fight in front of a lottery sales shop in Donggongon, Penampang, Sabah.
Their brawl was recorded by witnesses and posted intact on social media (SNS). They continued fighting for a long time, hitting each other with fists and kicks and choking each other.
How did they end up fighting? In fact, the two men were close friends who had been drinking together and then went to a nearby lottery shop to check the winning numbers of the local '4D lottery' they had recommended that day.
The 4D lottery, handled in Malaysia and Singapore, involves selecting 4 numbers from 0 to 9 to determine the winner. The winning numbers can range from 0000 to 9999.
Amazingly, the winning numbers were exactly the same as the numbers they had chosen together three days earlier. However, their amazement soon turned into frustration because the friend who was supposed to buy the physical ticket on the day they chose the numbers forgot to do so.
The two friends, having lost a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in vain, blamed each other and eventually resorted to fistfights in front of the shop. Their fight reportedly only stopped after passersby intervened.
