Thirty-six companies from the Gwangju region will showcase their outstanding technological capabilities at 'CES 2025', the world's largest electronics and information technology (IT) exhibition.

The Gwangju City Government announced that 36 technology companies from the Gwangju area will participate in 'CES 2025', which opens in Las Vegas, USA, on the 7th (local time). The city will hold an opening ceremony for the Gwangju Joint Pavilion at 'CES 2025' both online and offline at the local site on the same day.

The participating companies will present their excellent technology products at the Joint Pavilion operated by Gwangju City and the Gwangju Pavilion within the KOTRA Integrated Korea Pavilion.

Last July, the city held an open call to select companies to participate in the Gwangju Pavilion at 'CES 2025', choosing 15 firms. Eleven of these, including Inbiz Co., Ltd., Junctionmed Co., Ltd., Twigfarm Co., Ltd., E-Soltech, Artlab Co., Ltd., IndieJ Co., Ltd., Hogreenair Co., Ltd., Rivertree Co., Ltd., Unicompany Co., Ltd., Ecopis Co., Ltd., and Bluecapsule Co., Ltd., will participate in the Joint Pavilion. Most of the participating companies are technology firms based on artificial intelligence (AI). In addition to the 15 companies selected by the city, 21 other local companies will also participate in 'CES 2025'.

Furthermore, four companies?OnionAI Co., Ltd., Allthetime Co., Ltd., Sagak Co., Ltd., and Merryhand Co., Ltd.?will exhibit at the Gwangju Pavilion within the KOTRA Integrated Korea Pavilion.

Since Mayor Kang Gijung personally led local companies to participate in 'CES 2023' for the first time, Gwangju City has operated both the Gwangju Joint Pavilion and the Gwangju Pavilion within the Integrated Korea Pavilion at 'CES 2024' last year. This year, at 'CES 2025', the scope has expanded to include the AI and cultural industries, with 15 companies showcasing their global technological competitiveness.

The city is actively supporting overseas market entry by strengthening global advancement programs, including assistance with CES Innovation Award applications. As a result, Ghostpass Co., Ltd. became the first Gwangju company to win the 'CES 2025 Best Innovation Award', while Ecopis Co., Ltd., SOSLAB Co., Ltd., E-Soltech, and Inbiz Co., Ltd. also received CES 2025 Innovation Awards.

The city expects this to be an opportunity for outstanding local companies to showcase their technological capabilities to the global market, gauge international response, and verify their own competitiveness.

Joo Jaehui, Director of Economic and Startup Affairs, stated, "We are supporting participating companies at CES 2025 so they can promote their excellent technologies and lay the foundation for successful overseas investment attraction," adding, "Gwangju City will continue to do its best to increase the startup success rate of local companies."
