Busan Port Authority "Safety First at the Port"
Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Kang Jun-seok) participated in the 2025 Busan Port Safety Prayer Ceremony, wishing for the safety and accident-free operation of Busan Port in the new year.
On the 7th, more than 130 people from the Busan Port Workers' Union, Busan Regional Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Office, Busan Employment and Labor Office, Busan Port Authority, Busan Port Logistics Association, terminal operators, and stevedoring companies attended the safety prayer ceremony held at the Busan Port International Exhibition & Convention Center.
The event began with a ritual praying for accident-free and safe port operations, followed by a performance where participants stamped their handprints on calligraphy expressing the commitment to "Making Busan Port Safe."
BPA President Kang Jun-seok encouraged the workers at Busan Port, stating, "We will prioritize safety as the highest value and devote our efforts to operating an accident-free Busan Port."
This July, Busan Port Authority achieved the highest grade for three consecutive years in the nationwide comprehensive training called "Safe Korea Training." Additionally, BPA is conducting various safety activities such as introducing disaster safety communication network (Public Safety-LTE) devices to prepare for earthquakes and tsunamis, running campaigns to prevent heat-related illnesses and drowsy driving during the hot season, and operating Port Safety Culture Week.
On the 7th, a safety prayer ceremony is being held at the Busan Port International Exhibition and Convention Center.
