Actor Choi Jun-yong, who publicly supported President Yoon Suk-yeol, responded to his critics by calling them "mindless amoebas."

On the 6th, Choi Jun-yong posted several photos on his social media (SNS) account showing his attendance at an anti-impeachment rally for President Yoon. Along with the photos, he wrote, "Don't come to my feed and make noise. Just don't come at all, you mindless amoebas," adding, "You should unfollow me on Instagram and unfriend me on Facebook. I don't care." This is interpreted as a sharp reaction to netizens who criticized his remarks supporting martial law.

Earlier, on the 3rd, Choi Jun-yong stirred controversy by expressing support for martial law at an anti-impeachment rally held in front of Donghwa Duty-Free Shop in Jung-gu, Seoul. He took the stage and said, "I was shocked when martial law was suddenly declared on December 3rd last year, but what surprised me more was that it ended within a few hours," adding, "Honestly, I was a bit disappointed. If you were going to impose martial law, you should have done it properly. I wondered why you ended it so quickly." He continued, "But now, looking back, I think I didn't understand President Yoon's great intention. About a month after martial law was imposed, aren't the anti-state forces that the president always talks about stirring up trouble here and there?" He said, "They are carrying signs that say 'Impeach Yoon Suk-yeol, the leader of the rebellion.' Why is the Chinese Communist Party coming to another country and doing such things? Why is it that there are no spies in our country? Of course, there are."

Furthermore, Choi Jun-yong said, "Democratic Party lawmakers ask, 'When did we start talking about spies?' But how many spies have come out of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions?" He added, "They use the terminology used in North Korea as it is, and they carry pickets exactly as instructed by North Korea. If they are not spies, then who are?" He also shouted, "They say they are holding rallies (for the president's impeachment) in Hannam-dong without permission. Are they citizens of the Republic of Korea? If you hate Korea, go to North Korea, you bastards." Finally, he encouraged his supporters, saying, "President Yoon has awakened our people. Let's protect him to the end."

As Choi Jun-yong's remarks spread, a restaurant in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi Province, known to be operated by him, was targeted with a review bombing. According to the map application KakaoMap, as of the morning of the 7th, the restaurant's average rating was 1.2 stars. Netizens left 1-star reviews with comments such as "A restaurant that supports rebellion," "If you stay quiet, you could at least be neutral," and "Boycott the restaurant that supports martial law."
