Minister Yoon In-chon Inspects Preparations for APEC Summit in Gyeongju

Minister Yoo In-chon, who will lead the inspection, stated, "Since this is an opportunity to showcase a new future shaped by culture to the world, we will closely cooperate with related ministries, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and Gyeongju City."

The APEC Summit will be held in Gyeongju from late October to early November. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will support various cultural events including K-content, art and craft exhibitions, and permanent tourism performances presented in cultural and historical spaces.

The control tower is managed by the 'APEC Culture and Tourism Promotion Support Team,' launched on the 4th of last month. The Director of the International Cultural Promotion Policy Office serves as the team leader, focusing on supporting culture, tourism, and promotion sectors intensively.

The Ministry will also hold a high-level dialogue for the first time in June, attended by culture ministers from APEC member countries. This aims to further strengthen cooperation in the cultural creative industries within the APEC region.
