Arc Solutions announced on the 6th that it is entering the commercial cleaning robot market and has launched the ‘CAROT (CleanAgent AI Robot)’ brand.
Welcoming the new year, Arc Solutions declared its expansion into the smart solutions sector based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology, in addition to its existing businesses in bio and household products. The company launched a commercial cleaning robot brand equipped with AI-based control and autonomous driving systems.
Commercial cleaning robots are mainly used in large indoor facilities with extensive floor areas that require clean environment management, such as shopping malls, airports, terminals, hotels, hospitals, factories, and public facilities. Models equipped with powerful cleaning functions and autonomous driving capabilities are gaining attention because they can clean desired areas at scheduled times without manual operation.
The newly launched AI cleaning robot brand ‘CAROT’ by Arc Solutions aims to go beyond the limitations of conventional cleaning robots that only perform cleaning, by introducing an innovative product that combines security and safety management functions. By integrating with a control system and utilizing built-in cameras and sensors, it aims to provide solutions related to facility security such as crime prevention, fire management, and quarantine by detecting and responding to abnormal situations in real time.
To this end, Arc Solutions secured its own production plant last year. On the 2nd of this year, it signed a strategic partnership with the security specialist company ‘AllThatSecurity (ATS).’ ATS is known for its advanced control systems and security technologies. Through collaboration with ATS, Arc Solutions plans to further enhance the capabilities of the AI-based intelligent cleaning robot CAROT.
An Arc Solutions representative stated, "CAROT is an original product that integrates cleaning and security based on AI technology, offering customers a new level of solutions. Along with launching commercial products this year and establishing a sales network, we plan to lead new business models in the mid to long term by securing related IP through software technology development and building strategic partnerships with domestic and international research institutions."
