Recruitment Starts on the 14th
Final Successful Candidates Announced in May-June
"Recruitment Under Fair and Transparent Procedures"
Hyundai Motor Company, known for its high salaries and extensive welfare benefits, is hiring new employees this year.
On the 6th, Hyundai Motor announced that it will conduct recruitment for technical personnel in the first half of the year from the 14th to the 20th. Applications can be submitted through Hyundai Motor's official website. This recruitment will seek talent in three areas: ▲ automobile production ▲ research and development (R&D) technical personnel ▲ R&D utility management. Applicants must have at least a high school diploma, and detailed requirements for each recruitment area can be found on Hyundai Motor's recruitment website. Male applicants must have completed military service or be exempt.
Hyundai Motor plans to announce the successful candidates of the document screening in mid-February, conduct aptitude tests at the end of February, hold the first round of interviews in March, and the final interviews between April and May. Final results will be announced between May and June, but the detailed schedule varies by department. Successful candidates in the automobile production division will be assigned to Hyundai Motor’s production sites in Ulsan, Asan, and Jeonju factories in two batches in June and July. Those who pass in the R&D technical personnel and R&D utility management divisions will start working at Hyundai Motor Group’s Namyang Research Center in June. Hyundai Motor stated, "We plan to conduct recruitment under fair and transparent procedures" and "actively secure talents with diverse personalities and capabilities."
Last March, Hyundai Motor conducted an open recruitment for technical positions for the first time in 10 years. This recruitment attracted significant social attention, and many applicants caused the website to crash on the first day of document submission. Hyundai Motor’s production positions are known as "Kingsanjik" (King + production position) due to their high average annual salary reaching about 100 million KRW, retirement age of 60, and excellent welfare benefits such as employee vehicle discounts.
Earlier, Kia conducted new recruitment for production positions last month, which drew attention when actor Lee Jung-hyun, who appeared in "Mr. Sunshine," applied but was rejected.
