Xiaomi Korea to Hold Press Conference on the 15th
Smartphones Xiaomi 14T and Redmi Note 14 Unveiled
Full-Scale Localization Efforts... "Communication Through Korean Corporation"
Global information technology (IT) company Xiaomi will unveil new smart devices in South Korea on the 15th since establishing its Korean branch, Xiaomi Korea.
On the 6th, Xiaomi Korea announced that it will hold a press conference on the 15th to reveal new smart device products. It will introduce products across five categories?smartphones, wearable devices, TVs, robot vacuum cleaners, and power banks?offering a wide range of prices from budget to premium.
In the smartphone lineup, Xiaomi will unveil one new model from the premium brand 'Xiaomi' called the '14T' and one new model from the practical and reasonably priced 'Redmi Note 14' series.
The Xiaomi 14T is the first Leica co-developed smartphone to be introduced in Korea within the Xiaomi lineup. The camera, equipped with Leica’s premium Summilux optical lens, offers four focal lengths ranging from 15mm to 100mm, enabling high-quality photography of various subjects such as landscapes and portraits.
It also features the latest artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, allowing users to utilize Google's AI assistant 'Gemini' and the 'Circle to Search' function, which lets users draw a circle to explore information. The 6.67-inch AMOLED display provides up to 4000 nits brightness and a 144Hz refresh rate.
The new mid-range smartphone in the Redmi lineup, the 'Redmi Note 14' series, boasts robust durability with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and IP68-rated water and dust resistance. The main camera features flagship-level specifications with 200 million pixels and supports up to 30x zoom.
Xiaomi Korea will launch the Redmi Note 14 globally on the 10th and introduce one of the models domestically for the first time. The previous Redmi Note 13 series recorded sales of 410,000 units within just one hour of its release.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi Korea will open its official online store on the same day and offer various promotions. Customers who sign up for a Mi account and complete missions can receive points worth up to 30,000 KRW and a chance to win a 50% discount coupon through a lottery. New product purchases will be available starting on the 15th.
A Xiaomi Korea representative stated, "Through the establishment of the Korean corporation, we will communicate more closely with consumers," adding, "We will deliver differentiated value with locally tailored products and services."
