Emphasis on Integrity at the 2025 Opening Ceremony

Ryu Hanguk, Mayor of Daegu Seo-gu, expressed a strong ambition to improve the integrity evaluation through the realization of a "More Honest Seo-gu" in his 2025 New Year's address.

Daegu Seo-gu Office held the 2025 Eulsan Year opening ceremony on the 2nd with all employees in attendance, officially starting the new year's work. At the ceremony, after watching a video showcasing the achievements of urban infrastructure development and residential environment improvement projects carried out over the past decade, Mayor Ryu Hanguk delivered his New Year's greetings. He emphasized the importance of communication and cooperation to the senior officials, urging them to create an honest organizational culture based on respect and consideration and to practice proactive administration.

In 2025, Daegu Seo-gu plans to implement various programs to enhance understanding of anti-corruption and integrity policies based on the ‘Integrity Improvement Support Ordinance’ enacted last year. In particular, by operating an ‘Integrity Immersion Week,’ the district will promote participation activities such as spreading the institution head’s integrity message, conducting an integrity pledge relay, providing experiential integrity culture education, and running integrity events to engage employees’ interest and strengthen their awareness of integrity. Seo-gu aims to spread a culture of integrity shared by all employees and residents through these efforts.

Mayor Ryu Hanguk stated, “We will focus on ensuring that integrity policies do not remain mere slogans but bring about real change,” adding, “Through Integrity Immersion Week and various participatory activities, we will strengthen integrity awareness among employees and become an institution trusted by residents.”
