A Child Who Gave a Letter and Snacks as Gifts to a Ticket Inspector

After the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster, a child passenger who boarded a plane to visit family living in Jeju prepared letters and snacks for the flight attendants and handed them over. The flight attendant who received the gift came to their seats before the plane took off, carrying a gift package containing a reply letter and candies, expressing gratitude.

Recently, a post titled "On the way to my hometown Jeju with my two daughters" was uploaded on social media (SNS) threads. The author began by saying, “My daughters said they were going to Jeju Island by plane, but then heard some unpleasant stories from their friends.” They continued, “My eldest daughter was not shaken by those words and prepared a letter to give to the flight attendants,” adding, “She wrote to thank them for taking care of us safely.”

The author's daughter handed the pre-prepared letter and a bag of snacks to the flight attendant checking tickets when boarding the plane, and the flight attendant who received them came to their seats before takeoff with a gift package containing a reply letter and candies. It is said that tears welled up in the flight attendant’s eyes. The author said, “I was choked up, and I wondered how much more the flight attendants must have felt.”

The author also shared the letter their daughter received. On a memo paper printed with the logo of a domestic low-cost carrier (LCC), it read, "Thank you for the gift from the child passenger. Your beautiful heart truly moved the aunts and uncles. We hope you have a happy trip with your family, and may next year be filled only with joyful days." At the end, there was also a drawing of a four-leaf clover symbolizing good luck.

Netizens who read the story commented, “I’m tearing up,” “I can picture her carefully writing each letter with her small hands,” “My heart hasn’t been the same since the accident, but even I, who have nothing to do with it, feel comforted,” and “The flight attendants must have been really touched.”
