On the 3rd, a man in his 20s who was inspecting an elevator at a clothing store in Seoul died after his body became trapped in the equipment.
According to Seongdong Fire Station and the police, at around 4:10 PM that day, a report was received that worker A (27), who was inspecting an elevator in a building of a clothing store in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, was injured.
A was rescued while his body was trapped in the related equipment and was transported to Konkuk University Hospital at around 4:39 PM in a state of cardiac arrest, but ultimately passed away.
The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident, considering that A, who started the inspection after hearing noise from the elevator, may have been injured when an additional weight fell while he was measuring the noise.
