Taean County in Chungnam will conduct practical training for local farmers to help them establish their farming plans for the new Eulsan year.
Taean County announced that from the 8th to the 24th, it will hold the 'New Year Practical Training for Farmers' at the Agricultural Technology Center and eight towns and townships for about 5,000 local farmers.
This year’s practical training will begin with the 'Local Leader Class' for executives of farmers' organizations and will be held a total of 28 times.
Among these, the integrated classes for towns and townships will feature 21 expert instructors specializing in rice, chili peppers, garlic, and other fields, covering topics such as appropriate fertilization, carbon-neutral fine dust measures, and mandatory education on agricultural policies and the public direct payment system.
Additionally, specialized county-level training will include sessions on 'Climate Change and the Direction of Agriculture,' 'Soil and Fertilizer,' and 'High-Quality Ginger Cultivation Techniques,' all conducted by professional instructors.
The Taean County Agricultural Technology Center plans to distribute its annually produced calendar-style farming textbook again this year to enhance convenience for farmers. In cooperation with the Taean County Public Health Center, it will also provide education on smoking cessation, oral health, and mental health for farmers.
A county official stated, "Through this New Year practical training for farmers, we aim to nurture farmers who can adapt to changing agricultural conditions and grow into creative core agricultural talents for the region. We hope for your active interest and participation so you can learn new technologies and increase your household income."
