Pocheon Aebom 365 Daycare Center is a care facility introduced to supplement the limitations of existing childcare facilities that have difficulty providing weekend and nighttime care. It operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. the next day.
It is available to all infants and young children aged from 6 months to under 5 years old in Gyeonggi Province, and it is expected to meet urgent childcare demands.
The daycare center will begin full operation from March and plans to provide citizen-centered customized childcare services.
The operating institution will be selected through deliberation by the Pocheon City Childcare Policy Committee. A public contest will be held for daycare centers that have received evaluations above a certain grade, with accessibility and public transportation convenience as key criteria to enhance accessibility and ensure equity between regions.
Mayor Baek Young-hyun of Pocheon said, “Through this project, we will provide demand-centered customized childcare services that citizens can trust and entrust, and create a dense childcare environment without care gaps. I hope this project will be an important step toward realizing ‘Pocheon where both children and parents are happy.’ We ask for the interest and use of all citizens.”
