On the 3rd, Gongju City, Chungnam Province, announced that Park Seungha, the former head of the Urban Regeneration Support Center, has been appointed as the director of the newly launched Gongju City Vitality Support Center, which was established this year through the integration of the Urban Regeneration Support Center and the Community Comprehensive Support Center as part of an organizational restructuring.
The Gongju City Vitality Support Center plays a key role in strengthening policy linkages between urban and rural areas and in promoting the revitalization and balanced development of local communities.
The center will manage and operate urban regeneration and village development projects, and plans to implement customized policies tailored to the characteristics of the region.
Mayor Choi Woncheol stated, "The launch of the Gongju City Vitality Support Center marks an important turning point for promoting policies that consider the unique characteristics of both urban and rural areas and for revitalizing local communities. I hope the newly appointed integrated center director will take the lead in driving the region's sustainable development."
Director Park Seungha said, "I will work to stabilize the organization so that the integration of the two centers proceeds smoothly, and will actively pursue policies that enable urban and rural areas to coexist and thrive together."
