Wonju City, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Mayor Won Kang-su), has attracted attention with a patriotic song video it produced using various scenes of Wonju as the backdrop.

The patriotic song video produced by Wonju City was unveiled at the Wonju City New Year's Ceremony held at Baegun Art Hall on the 2nd.
The promotional video of Wonju City's patriotic song, which made its debut at this New Year's Ceremony, begins with the sunrise over Chiaksan Mountain and the cityscape of Wonju gradually emerging from the mist. It tells an inspiring story that captures the development of Wonju, a key transportation hub, its beautiful tourist attractions, and the lively lives of its citizens, concluding with the warm sunset scenery of Heungwonchang.

The four seasons and scenic views of Wonju unfold magnificently over time, featuring the spring flowers in full bloom along Seomgang and Wonjucheon, the lush greenery of Gukhyeongsa Valley and Yongsomak Cathedral, the colorful autumn foliage of Birobong Peak of Chiaksan Mountain and Sogeumsan Grand Valley, and the ginkgo trees of Banggyeri.
Additionally, the video vividly portrays the vibrant atmosphere of Wonju by showcasing the happiness of many citizens at representative festivals and events that heated up the past year, such as the Dumpling Festival, Everything Festival, Dancing Carnival, and the International Walking Competition.

An official from Wonju City stated, “We produced a patriotic song unique to Wonju by incorporating performances by the Wonju City Symphony Orchestra and the City Choir,” adding, “The promotional video of Wonju City's patriotic song, which will be played at major events and festivals, will greatly enhance citizens' pride and effectively promote Wonju to outsiders.”
Meanwhile, Wonju City plans to upload the promotional video of Wonju City's patriotic song on its official YouTube channel to make it available for use at all events and ceremonies requiring the national anthem.
