Kim Beom-seok, Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance, "Swift Progress on Gyeongbang Tasks... Full Effort to Restore Livelihood Economy"

"Strengthening Monitoring, Rapid Response to Abnormal Signs"

Kim Beom-seok, the 1st Vice Minister of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, urged on the 2nd, "to swiftly implement the major tasks of this year's economic policy direction from the beginning of the year and to make every effort to restore the livelihood economy."


Vice Minister Kim made these remarks while presiding over the 5th Financial Situation Check TF meeting at the Government Seoul Office. He said, "We have prepared a plan for the fastest execution rate ever at 67%, expanding by more than 5 trillion won compared to last year," and requested, "Please carefully inspect and promote on-site so that each and every citizen can actually benefit from rapid livelihood support projects such as senior jobs and youth employment incentives."

Vice Minister Kim expressed concern, saying, "This year, our economy faces greater internal and external uncertainties than ever due to the inauguration of the new U.S. administration and domestic political situations, raising concerns that livelihood difficulties may worsen." He added, "I urge each ministry to strengthen monitoring in their respective areas and to respond swiftly under inter-ministerial cooperation when abnormal signs occur, doing their best to manage our economy as stably as possible."


Officials from related ministries including the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Ministry of Health and Welfare, Ministry of Employment and Labor, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and the Financial Services Commission attended the meeting.
