P&S Mechanics is showing strong performance. As interest in humanoid robots grows, attention is focused on P&S Mechanics' platform-based technology, which can be expanded into the fields of wearable robots and humanoid robots.
As of 2:58 PM on the 2nd, P&S Mechanics is trading at 12,110 KRW, up 13.18% from the previous trading day.
P&S Mechanics, in collaboration with domestic scientific research organizations, has developed advanced humanoid robots, service robots, and various advanced robotic technologies related to medical and automation products. Based on the internalization of core robot technologies, it oversees development, production, sales, and services, localizing 95% of its components.
The key innovative technologies realizing the core technology are known as platform-based technologies that can be expanded not only to lower limb gait rehabilitation robots but also to upper limb rehabilitation robots, wearable robots, and humanoid robots. These are based on robot design, software, and electronic control technologies developed 100% in-house by P&S Mechanics. The core technologies it holds are differentiated technologies not developed in existing rehabilitation robot systems and have been performance-verified through multiple clinical trials. The Walkbot gait rehabilitation robot system is an advanced gait rehabilitation training robot system that can provide the most perfect humanoid gait training to patients with various diseases and different physical conditions.
Walkbot is the world's first and only system that provides optimized humanoid walking motions and various training programs tailored to individual patients through 3-joint training of the hip joint, knee joint, and ankle joint. It is a patient-customized gait rehabilitation robot system that maximizes therapeutic effects for patients who have lost walking ability due to neurological damage such as stroke, spinal cord injury, Parkinson's disease-related gait disorders, multiple sclerosis, poliomyelitis, or musculoskeletal diseases.
In terms of technology application, the scope of in-house developed technologies applied to the main products includes ▲advanced robot mechanism design ▲human motion biomechanics analysis technology ▲electronic control robot hardware development ▲robot control software development ▲user interface software development ▲artificial intelligence (AI) software development, covering the overall range of robot technologies. In particular, not only the hardware constituting the robot but also the firmware and software technologies for driving it have been independently secured and applied to the products. Research, productization technology, production technology, and quality technology development personnel directly participate in development.
Kiwoom Securities explained that P&S Mechanics succeeded in commercializing Walkbot in 2011 based on robot joint technology secured through humanoid research and development. Walkbot has also obtained global certifications such as the European CE MDR and the US FDA. Competitors in the gait rehabilitation robot market include companies such as Hocoma (wearable exoskeleton), Angel Robotics (wearable), and Curexo (end-effector).
