In the 'childcare and education sector,' the district will expand various care services and strengthen educational support. First, the residency requirement for the Seocho Grandchild Caregiver Support Project has been relaxed, allowing support for anyone residing in Seocho-gu, and the support period has been extended to 9 months for families with one child or two children with a single income, 12 months for two-child dual-income families, and 15 months for families with three or more children. Additionally, the free pertussis vaccination, previously provided only to pregnant women, will be expanded for the first time in Seoul to include cohabiting family members of infants under 12 months old.

The lifelong education voucher support project has also been revamped. Previously, it provided 200,000 KRW annually for course fees to Seocho-gu residents aged 30 to 50 who had career interruptions, but from the new year, the target has been expanded to all Seocho-gu residents aged 19 and older, and the support amount has increased to up to 350,000 KRW annually, including textbook fees.

In the 'welfare and culture sector,' the Umyeon Resident Convenience Facility, a comprehensive facility accessible to all generations, will open, housing the Seoripul Nori School, Our Neighborhood Care Center, and Daycare Center, providing welfare and cultural services to the Umyeon area.

Also, the Umyeon Comprehensive Social Welfare Center will be transformed into a senior-customized complex cultural space with a 120-seat senior dining hall and welfare program rooms through horizontal expansion on the 1st and 2nd floors. The Seocho Seongsim Senior Welfare Center will reopen as the Seocho-gu Daycare Center after remodeling, offering high-quality care services to seniors in need.

In the 'youth sector,' the district will operate the 'Youth Certification Exam Fee Support Project,' providing up to 200,000 KRW per person to job-seeking youth aged 19 to 39 for various qualification exam fees, including national technical certifications. Additionally, following the designation of the Yangjae AI Special Zone and the opening of the Employment Academy, 15 youth support programs will be operated, including the reorganization and establishment of employment training courses.

In the 'environment sector,' healing spaces in harmony with nature will be expanded. A 1km section from the National Gugak Center to opposite CJ Construction will be equipped with an accessible deck and rest shelters, and three locations?Songdong Neighborhood Park, Yangjaecheon Neighborhood Park, and Yangjae Neighborhood Park?will have a total of 630m of barefoot dirt paths and foot-washing stations newly installed.

In the 'urban infrastructure sector,' landscape improvement projects such as signage installation and symbolic space creation will be promoted around the Seocho-gu Legal Complex area, designated as the hub of judicial justice. The community space 'Asia-Pacific Judicial Justice Hub Seocho Station Lounge' will also open. An 'Urban Canvas' using lighting and object design techniques will be created in the underground pedestrian walkway area of Jamsu Bridge, transforming it into a new landmark.

To make residents' daily lives smarter and more convenient, various innovative services will be introduced in the 'resident support sector.' First, through the 'Resident Life Experiment Platform,' a channel will be operated to receive residents' policy proposals to solve local issues such as transportation and environment. After internal review, outstanding cases will be selected and rewarded with up to 1,000 Seocho Coins.

The district office website will introduce a smart district administration guidance system using AI technology, providing information across various categories via an AI chatbot. Notably, the 'Seocho Ganda go!' smart field administration service, the first of its kind nationwide, will visit local high schools directly to support 17-year-old youths in obtaining their first-ever resident registration cards.

Mayor Jeon Seong-su emphasized, “2025 will be a meaningful year for Seocho to take a step forward,” adding, “We will continue to listen to residents' voices and implement resident-centered policies to make Seocho an even better place to live.”
