Kim Bohyun, CEO of Daewoo Engineering & Construction, stated in his New Year's message to Daewoo E&C employees on the 2nd, "2025 is expected to be the most challenging year among the next three years," adding, "The expanding uncertainty continues to threaten the stability of the construction market." He urged, "Let us focus on sound management to secure financial soundness."

Kim said, "The America First policy, which intensified after President Trump's re-election, the prolonged Russia-Ukraine war delaying the stabilization of raw material prices, political turmoil due to the impeachment situation, and the increasing uncertainty in economic indicators such as exchange rates and interest rates continue to threaten the stability of the construction market," adding, "Overcoming these external difficulties will not be easy, but it is an opportunity to strengthen Daewoo E&C's core values and competitiveness."

He also emphasized, "Let us prioritize 'safety first'." Kim requested, "Please manage the sites with utmost care as if protecting your own family," adding, "Only when safety is secured will performance and results have meaning."

He continued, "Let us focus on sound management," urging, "By consolidating company-wide capabilities, let us resolve risks and secure financial stability through thorough execution management." He stressed, "Let us strive to minimize unnecessary or non-urgent expenses and overcome this crisis starting now."

He also proposed "strengthening communication and cooperation." Kim said, "Although Daewoo E&C has a flexible organizational culture, I believe walls between ranks, teams, and divisions still remain," adding, "Let us break down these barriers and strengthen communication and cooperation to flexibly respond to external challenges."
