Threatening as if to throw a stone
An octogenarian who caused a disturbance at a neighbor's house on suspicion of having an affair with his wife was sentenced to probation.
On the 2nd, the Criminal Division 11 of Daegu District Court (Chief Judge Lee Jong-gil) announced that Mr. A (in his 80s), who was tried on charges of causing a disturbance at a neighbor's house due to suspicion of an affair with his wife (special assault, etc.), was sentenced to 2 years in prison with 3 years of probation.
Mr. A is accused of visiting the residence of Mr. B in Chilgok-gun, Gyeongbuk, over two days from July 29 to 30 last year, causing a disturbance while saying, "Give me the halmae (grandmother)." During this incident, it was also investigated that Mr. A threw stones at Mr. B's head and threatened to hit him.
The court stated, "It is necessary to strictly punish because even the police officers who responded to the report were injured," but also ruled, "Considering the defendant's remorseful attitude and the fact that the parties reached an amicable agreement and the victims do not wish for punishment, all sentencing factors were comprehensively considered."
