Jungjingong's First Step of the New Year: 'On-site Communication'

Holding On-site Meeting with Companies Located in Changwon National Industrial Complex

The Small and Medium Business Corporation (SBC) announced on the 2nd that it held a kick-off ceremony at its headquarters in Jinju, Gyeongnam, to mark the beginning of the new year of Eulsa and officially started its operations. After the ceremony, Chairman Kang Seok-jin made his first official move of the new year by visiting the Changwon National Industrial Complex and conducting the 'Visiting SBC, On-site Talk Communication Program.'

Established in 1974, the Changwon National Industrial Complex is currently one of South Korea's representative industrial complexes, being reorganized around advanced machinery and convergence material industries. Chairman Kang held a session with about 60 representatives and officials from companies located in the Changwon National Industrial Complex, including Shin Ki-soo, CEO of Daegeon Tech, and Im Jin-young, CEO of Geonyeong Tech, to directly listen to the voices from small and medium enterprises on site and propose necessary support measures.

The main topics included ▲policy fund support according to the growth stages of companies ▲utilization plans for foreign professionals ▲preferential savings deductions for employees of small and medium enterprises, providing guidance on various support policies and engaging in in-depth discussions on the difficulties faced by companies in the industrial complex and directions for improvement.

Additionally, participating companies suggested policy support measures for customized support by industry within the industrial complex, job creation measures in response to the decline in the local working population, and strengthening cooperation among local governments and government-affiliated organizations.

SBC plans to actively reflect the on-site opinions gathered that day in ongoing projects such as the ‘Regional Industry Growth Project’ for balanced regional development, the ‘Structural Innovation Project,’ and the ‘Regulatory Free Zone Project,’ as well as in discovering new projects in the future.

In particular, this year, SBC will newly introduce the ‘Jump-Up Program’ to provide a stepping stone for small and medium enterprises to grow into mid-sized companies, and enhance the effectiveness of policies through practical support such as the ‘Foreign Student Employment Matching (K-WORK) Platform.’

Chairman Kang said, “SBC will play a pivotal role in securing the competitiveness of industrial complexes to promote balanced regional development and revitalize the national economy,” adding, “Starting with this 'Visiting SBC, On-site Talk Communication Program,' we will strengthen communication with companies on site and lead the innovative growth of small and medium ventures and the revitalization of the regional economy with a proactive attitude.”
