Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon visited the Gyeonggi Fire and Disaster Headquarters 119 Integrated Situation Room and Suwon Southern Fire Station in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon, on January 1st as his first schedule of the new year to encourage the staff and ask them to work for the safety of the residents.

Governor Kim said, "I thank you for your dedication and ask you to do your best to make Gyeonggi Province safe this year as well. I came to have a warm lunch together," expressing his gratitude by saying, "Thank you for your hard work, and I wish you a happy new year. Thank you."

He also mentioned the Gyeonggi Fire and Disaster Headquarters staff (6 ambulances, 12 personnel) dispatched to Muan, Jeollanam-do, in relation to the ‘Jeju Air passenger accident,’ saying, "Our personnel are working hard," encouraging them.

The 119 Integrated Situation Room that Governor Kim visited is located on the 5th floor of Suwon Southern Fire Station. The administrative departments, including the Fire Administration Division of the Fire and Disaster Headquarters, moved to the former Gyeonggi Provincial Council building in September last year, and the 119 Integrated Situation Room is scheduled to relocate in May for the design of the dispatch system.
