The merchants said, "We were worried that visitors would decrease during the year-end and New Year holidays, but since the Resource Circulation Facility Modernization Project construction is underway nearby, the on-site workers have been having lunch and dinner here, allowing us to operate without losses," and added, "We ask for continuous interest and support so that the local commercial district can be maintained."

In response, Mayor Hong pledged, "Gimhae City will lead a domestic demand promotion campaign to ease citizens' difficulties and revitalize the local economy."

He also requested the construction site officials to "carry out the construction safely and soundly and to use the nearby commercial establishments."
