AI Trend in Administration... Gwangjin-gu Awards Artificial Intelligence Administration Utilization Contest

Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) held the 'Artificial Intelligence Administration Utilization Employee Contest Award Ceremony' at the Gwangjin-gu Office auditorium on December 31, the last day of this year.

The contest was organized from September to November to promote work innovation and improve administrative procedures. Employees were invited to submit suitable and creative ideas for improving administrative tasks using artificial intelligence.

The contest selected 16 outstanding proposals based on feasibility, efficiency and effectiveness, and difficulty. Awards were given to 1 grand prize winner, 5 excellence awardees, and 10 encouragement awardees.

The grand prize was awarded to 'Media Content Production.' The idea of utilizing AI in creating promotional content and integrating AI into background music and audio for promotional videos received high praise.

The five excellence awards were also interesting. They included ▲Utilization of floating population data analysis ▲Automatic image-saving web page ▲Medical law consultation chatbot deployment ▲Manual and card production for building security ▲Chatbot consultation method using 'Gwangjini.'

This year, the district applied artificial intelligence to 11 administrative tasks. AI technologies have been used in various fields such as work automation that reduces large volumes of tasks, introduction of civil service guidance robots, AI-based welfare check services, support for the care robot 'Hyodoli,' and expansion of intelligent CCTV.

Additionally, plans are underway to introduce AI more broadly in administrative areas, including a pilot project for flood prediction in semi-basement houses, smart civil service guidance chatbots on the district website, and high-speed search services for missing persons based on CCTV, leading the way to smart administration.

Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “I congratulate all the awardees who provided great ideas for innovative administration. Utilizing AI throughout administration is expected to reduce employees’ workload and greatly improve administrative efficiency and productivity,” adding, “We will continue to create a happy Gwangjin-gu for residents through faster and more efficient administrative services.”
