'eSIM' Startup Romigo to Participate in CES 2025

eSIM-based communication technology startup Romigo announced on the 31st that it will participate in the world's largest information technology (IT) and consumer electronics exhibition, CES 2025.

A Romigo official explained, "We were selected as a CES participating company in recognition of our achievement in launching an enterprise application programming interface (API) and business-to-business (B2B) integrated solutions."

From the 7th to the 10th of next month, Romigo will operate a booth inside the Korea Pavilion of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) at Eureka Park, held in Las Vegas, USA, during 'CES 2025'. They plan to hold meetings with potential B2B clients and investors. Eureka Park is a venue showcasing innovative startups' new technologies and ideas, attracting global attention.

At CES, Romigo will introduce a B2C overseas travel site integrating local eSIM data from 200 countries worldwide and a B2B wholesale supply solution for partnership use. They will promote a simple and reasonable data roaming solution available for travelers and businesses.

Romigo CEO Seo Ji-an said, "Many companies handle eSIMs for travelers, but data products that truly satisfy customers are expensive and hard to find. Romigo has been granted local network access rights from telecom operators in each country, supporting stable data connections in 200 countries."

To provide overseas travelers with high-capacity and stable networks, CEO Seo personally visited various locations in Europe and Southeast Asia this year to sign contracts with local telecom operators. Romigo holds the largest number of direct contracts with telecom operators in Korea. To improve services, Romigo is also preparing to launch an application. Based on about 300 user interviews and tests, the application carefully addresses all the inconveniences experienced by existing eSIM users.

Taking advantage of CES participation, Romigo will expand its business area from its existing stronghold in Europe to the North American market. It demonstrated successful market testing at 'VIVATECH 2024,' Europe's largest startup and tech exhibition held in Paris, France, last May.

With projections that 82% of smartphones worldwide will be shipped with eSIM-enabled devices by 2030, Romigo aims to achieve a 5% global market share in the eSIM market.

CEO Seo said, "Participating in CES is expected to be an important milestone for Romigo to realize its vision. Romigo's innovative technology and global network will set a new standard in the travel and telecommunications industries."
