Buan County and Korea Christian Welfare Foundation to Recommission Operation of 'Silver Welfare Center'

For Five Years from Next Year to 2029

Buan County, North Jeolla Province announced on the 31st that it has signed an agreement with the Hangijang Welfare Foundation, a social welfare corporation, to re-entrust the operation of the Buan Silver Welfare Center.


With this agreement, the Hangijang Welfare Foundation will be re-entrusted to operate the Buan Silver Welfare Center for five years, from January 1, next year, to December 31, 2029.

The Hangijang Welfare Foundation will provide services necessary for the promotion of welfare for local seniors, based on its management philosophy of "a welfare ecosystem community of service and sharing where seniors live as their own masters."


Located on the first floor of the Bongdeok Public Silver Housing, the Buan Silver Welfare Center has a total area of 833 square meters and includes offices, an auditorium, program rooms, a cafeteria, and a fitness room, offering various welfare services for both residents and local community members.


A representative from the Hangijang Welfare Foundation stated, "We will do our utmost to operate the welfare center based on the core values of autonomy, coexistence, and practical experience, to ensure a healthy and vibrant later life for seniors."


County Governor Kwon Ikhyeon said, "I hope that through this agreement, the Silver Welfare Center will be established as a model for advanced senior welfare centers by meeting the diverse welfare needs of seniors," and added, "Please do your best to operate the center."
