Until Next March... "Restoring Grass and Repairing Damaged Facilities"

Imsil County in Jeonbuk announced on the 31st that the Osu Uigyeon Park Golf Course will be closed from January to March next year.

The county completed the construction of the park golf course in May, investing a total project cost of 6.4 billion KRW. The course covers an area of 43,350 square meters and features 27 holes (three 9-hole courses).

Set against the backdrop of Osucheon, which holds the story of the righteous dog Uigyeon, and the lush grass of Uigyeon Park, the park golf course is equipped with convenient facilities such as a clubhouse, rest area, ticket office, and walking trails. Since the completion ceremony, it has quickly gained popularity among golf enthusiasts.

A commemorative tournament held for the opening attracted over 400 participants from across the country, and after the official paid operation began, 1,006 people from 179 teams in 35 regions visited last month alone.

Accordingly, the county plans to close the park golf course from January 1 to March 31 next year to ensure stable operation and management in the future.

During the closure, the county will restore and protect damaged grass, check the growth conditions, and repair damaged facilities to enhance convenience and create a sports-friendly space upon reopening.

County Governor Sim Min said, "Osu Uigyeon Park Golf Course is becoming a renowned park golf destination not only in the region but also nationwide," and added, "We will strive to maintain and improve the space so that visitors can continue to enjoy it."
