On the 31st, Hanam City in Gyeonggi announced that it will start operating a Senior Health Center from the 6th to bridge the infrastructure gap in the old downtown area and provide customized health management services for the elderly in line with population aging.
The 'Senior Health Center' aims to help seniors lead a healthy and happy old age by offering chronic disease management and circulation exercises to prevent sarcopenia, provided by professionals such as doctors, nurses, and physical therapists.
The health promotion services offered include ▲chronic disease risk factor testing and doctor consultations ▲multifaceted physical function assessments and exercise prescriptions ▲circulation exercise programs, and the range of services will gradually expand after the operation begins.
Mayor Lee Hyun-jae said, “In addition to the Senior Health Center, residents can visit Misa Health Center near the Misa district, Gam-il Health Life Support Center in the Gam-il district, and Wirye Health Center in the Wirye district to access various health management services, so we encourage many to use these facilities.”
