Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 31st that it will recruit 60 participants for the ‘Visiting Customized Rehabilitation Service for Chronic Disease Patients’ from January 6 to 10, 2025.
This service is designed to help citizens suffering from motor disabilities due to cerebrovascular and neurological diseases (including Parkinson’s), cancer, diabetes, and other conditions to recover physical functions and improve their ability to perform independent daily activities.
Citizens who wish to use the service should bring identification, income-related documents such as health insurance payment certificates, and a diagnosis or medical opinion letter to apply in person at the administrative welfare (resident) center of their local jurisdiction. Selected participants can use the service for one year starting from February 2025.
During the same period, the city plans to recruit 710 participants for various customized services under the Community Service Investment Project, aiming to meet diverse health and welfare needs of citizens.
The recruitment fields include ▲massage services for the visually impaired ▲customized cognitive and emotional support services for the elderly ▲customized exercise services for the disabled ▲assistive device rental services for the disabled ▲psychological support services for children.
An official from Uijeongbu City stated, “Uijeongbu City will support citizens’ health and happiness through customized rehabilitation and welfare services,” and added, “We hope many citizens will take interest and participate in this recruitment.”
