From January 6 to February 4... "Prepare Your Farm Planning Now"
Yeongju City will conduct the "New Year Practical Education for Farmers" from January 6 to February 4, 2025, aiming to realize sustainable future agriculture in response to climate change.
This education program is designed to help farmers successfully plan their farming by establishing new year farming plans, analyzing problems in last year's farming sites and suggesting solutions, and acquiring new technologies along with crop-specific outlooks.
The training will be held 18 times for a total of 2,500 participants at the Agricultural Technology Center's main auditorium, Buseok Nonghyup, and Sosu Seowon Chung Hyo Education Center. Starting with ginger education on January 6, it will cover major crops such as rice, soybeans, peppers, apples, peaches, plums, and grapes, and include 14 subjects such as beekeeping, agricultural microorganisms, daily life law, tax knowledge, and SNS marketing courses.
In particular, this year’s education will focus on main crops like apples, rice, and soybeans, as well as regionally specialized crops such as ginger, beekeeping, and peaches. Practical courses that can respond to the changing agricultural environment, including the use of agricultural microorganisms, daily life law, tax knowledge, and SNS marketing, will also be provided.
The education is open for participation through on-site registration without prior application, and all courses will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Lectures will be delivered by crop-specific instructors from the Agricultural Technology Center and external experts from the Rural Development Administration and universities, providing practical and professional content.
The education schedule can be checked on the Yeongju City Agricultural Technology Center website’s notice board, and any other inquiries can be directed to the Rural Guidance Division.
An official from the City Agricultural Technology Center said, “This New Year Practical Education for Farmers will be an important opportunity to actively respond to the rapidly changing agricultural environment and help farmers acquire the necessary knowledge to successfully plan their farming.” He added, “We ask for the active interest and participation of farmers.”
