DB Insurance announced on the 31st that it conducted financial education for high school seniors who have completed the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT).
Through the 'Post-CSAT Financial Classroom for High School Seniors' organized by the Financial Supervisory Service, DB Insurance accepted applications from schools nationwide and provided a program to strengthen the financial capabilities of 380 students who took this year's CSAT before they enter society through higher education or employment. The program included education on preventing illegal private loans such as durable goods loans and coin investment scams, as well as financial education on fraud prevention, credit management, and financial management.
Since 2015, DB Insurance has supported financial education by visiting elementary, middle, and high schools nationwide to help young people develop sound financial habits and values and easily understand economic and financial knowledge. Additionally, it has developed customized financial education programs for self-reliant youth, single-parent families, grandparent-headed families, and North Korean defector families to help them lead safe financial lives as members of society. In February, it received the Financial Supervisory Service Commissioner’s Award at the 'One Company One School Financial Education Best Practice Awards Ceremony.'
A DB Insurance official stated, "Next year, we plan to expand financial education programs linked to the middle school free semester system and develop various programs for self-reliant youth to support financial education for more students."
