Ambulance, Nurse, and Others Dispatched
Jangseong County in Jeollanam-do has urgently dispatched ambulances, nurses, and other emergency medical personnel to the site of the Jeju Air passenger plane crash at Muan International Airport and has begun formulating response measures.
According to Jangseong County on the 31st, the county held an emergency situation meeting at the county disaster situation room, presided over by Deputy County Governor Kwak Youngho, to quickly determine whether there were any county residents affected and to discuss countermeasures.

In addition, all public health doctors and health center staff were urgently convened, and a rapid response team consisting of 14 members in two groups was put on standby in preparation for additional medical support.
County Governor Kim Hanjong stated, "We will do our utmost to provide personnel and administrative support in cooperation with the Central Accident Response Headquarters and the Jeollanam-do Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters," and urged, "Relevant departments should make every effort to support accident response."

Meanwhile, this accident occurred at 9:03 a.m. on the 29th, when Jeju Air flight 7C2216, which departed from Bangkok, Thailand and was heading to Muan International Airport, attempted a belly landing due to a landing gear malfunction and collided with a concrete embankment at the end of the runway. According to fire authorities, out of 181 passengers, 179 died and only two crew members were rescued, making it a major disaster. This accident remains the deadliest aviation disaster to have occurred in South Korea.
