Dongjak-gu Rewards Outstanding Public Officials and Teams for Proactive Administration

Dongjak-gu, Seoul (Mayor Park Il-ha) has finalized the selection of six outstanding proactive public officials and two excellent teams for the second half of this year and awarded them.

On the 26th, Dongjak-gu selected and awarded the 'Outstanding Public Officials and Teams for Proactive Administration in the Second Half of 2024.' The Excellence Award for public officials went to ▲Lee Hee-seong, team leader, for expanding residents' opportunities to enjoy history and cultural assets through the creation of the Sadang 4-dong premium Hanok cafe R1 and the Lee Jung-young gravesite trail ▲Shin Kyung-hee, administrative officer, for the prompt promotion of the disability-friendly beauty salon project through active budget acquisition ▲Yang Seung-ah, administrative officer, for operating the Dongjak-gu home repair support project to improve residents' housing welfare.

The Encouragement Award recipients included ▲Ha Kwang-soo, team leader, for establishing off-street parking lots and green rest areas related to the construction of the Dongjak-gu Family Center ▲Woo Eun-je, team leader, for contributing to residents' enjoyable and safe apartment living through visiting community experience classes and CPR education ▲Ha Suk-young, administrative officer, for expanding vaccination projects to realize a safe Dongjak free from shingles concerns.

The excellent teams recognized were ▲the Planning Team of the Planning and Coordination Division, which signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Suhyup Noryangjin Fisheries Co., Ltd. and the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives to manage the underground passage of Noryangjin Fish Market, ensuring residents' safety and revitalizing the local economy ▲the Life Safety Team of the Urban Safety Division, which deployed safety management personnel and established a proactive prevention system in crowded areas during the Seoul International Fireworks Festival.

They received the Mayor’s Commendation along with a monetary reward and incentives. The district office plans to disseminate these excellent cases to all departments (dong) to further spread a culture of proactive administration that residents can feel next year.

Mayor Park Il-ha expressed gratitude, saying, “I thank the outstanding public officials and departments who practiced proactive administration in various fields for the development of the district and its residents,” and added, “We will continue to encourage challenging and creative work initiatives to provide administrative services that satisfy all residents.”
