Taean County in Chungnam, which has been putting all its efforts into securing government funding, has achieved a total of 4 billion KRW in special grants this year.

The county announced on the 30th that it has secured a total of 2.2 billion KRW in special grants for four projects, including 500 million KRW for the construction of the Mallifornia Marine Leisure Safety Education Center, as well as funds for the installation of disaster safety electronic boards and road user protection facilities in Wonbuk-myeon.

The Mallifornia Marine Leisure Safety Education Center project is a facility aimed at establishing Mallipo, known as the only surfing point on the west coast, as a mecca for surfing. It will be built at 1145 Uihang-ri, Sowon-myeon, near Mallipo Beach, with construction having started last March and completion scheduled for 2026.
