The Netflix series 'Squid Game 2' has ranked number one in every country where Netflix is available. This marks the second consecutive day following the 28th. According to FlixPatrol, an online streaming platform viewing time tracking site, 'Squid Game 2' topped the Netflix TV show category the previous day. Netflix currently operates in 93 countries. 'Squid Game 2' is number one in all of them.

On the first day of tracking after the release of 'Squid Game 2' on the 27th, it ranked first in 92 countries except New Zealand, and from the following day, it also took first place in New Zealand. However, FlixPatrol's data is not an official Netflix ranking. Netflix releases official viewing time rankings every Wednesday. The exact rankings and viewing times related to 'Squid Game 2' will be available on January 1st.
'Squid Game 2' is the sequel to 'Squid Game,' which was released in September 2021. The story follows Seong Gi-hun, who won 45.6 billion KRW in the previous season's game, as he participates in the game once again to find the game organizer. Actor Lee Jung-jae reprised his role as Seong Gi-hun, and the cast includes Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-joon, Gong Yoo, Park Sung-hoon, Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Jo Yu-ri, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-shim, Lee Seo-hwan, Lee Da-wit, and Kim Si-eun. Previously, 'Squid Game' entered the top 10 of Netflix's global TV show rankings within two days of its release in 2021 and reached number one within eight days. It maintained the top spot for 46 days from September 23 to November 7 that year, breaking Netflix's all-time viewership records. According to Netflix's official viewing time records, 'Squid Game' amassed 2.2052 billion hours over 91 days after its release, ranking first in Netflix history. The second place is held by 'Wednesday' with 1.7188 billion hours.
'Squid Game 2' has surpassed the previous record by achieving the number one spot worldwide much faster, fueled by rapid word of mouth and viewers' high expectations. The third season of 'Squid Game,' which is attracting global attention, will be released in 2025.
