26 Outstanding First-Grade Students Selected for Overseas Training, Highest Number Nationwide

Daejeon Office of Education Achieves Top Results for Second Consecutive Year at National Class Innovation Case Study Competition

The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education announced that it achieved the highest number of first-tier awards nationwide for the second consecutive year in the 2024 National Class Innovation Case Study Competition.


The Daejeon Office of Education submitted 52 elementary and 39 secondary works to the 2024 National Class Innovation Case Study Competition, with a total of 57 works (28 elementary and 29 secondary) winning awards, marking the second highest number of award-winning entries nationwide.


In particular, 31 out of 129 first-tier winning works (24%) in both elementary and secondary categories came from Daejeon, maintaining the highest proportion nationwide for two consecutive years.


The number of outstanding first-tier awardees selected for overseas training was also the highest in the country, with 11 from elementary and 15 from secondary, totaling 26. These selected teachers will visit the United Kingdom to explore exemplary educational cases from January 20 to 25.


The 2024 Class Innovation Case Study Competition was organized to discover teaching and learning models suitable for future-oriented educational environments such as AI and edutech, and to share and disseminate excellent class cases that can foster future core competencies.


Seol Dongho, Superintendent of the Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education, stated, "Achieving the highest number of first-tier awards in the Class Innovation Case Study Competition for two consecutive years is the result of our teachers' efforts to realize Daejeon education that opens the future of happy schools and prepares for the era of digital transformation."
