Top 1-2 Menus Remain the Same for 15 Years Since 2009
Number of Tea Menus in Top 10 Increases to 3 for the First Time
This year, the best-selling beverage at Starbucks Korea was the 'Caffe Americano.'
According to the top 10 beverage sales for 2024 released by Starbucks Korea on the 30th, 'Caffe Latte' followed the Caffe Americano. The first and second place menus have remained unchanged for 15 years since Starbucks began ranking in 2009.
The third place was 'Jamong Honey Black Tea,' which surpassed 100 million cumulative sales last October, becoming the first tea beverage to do so. The number of tea beverages in the top 10 popular drinks increased from one last year to three this year. Also, the 'Starbucks Classic Milk Tea,' first introduced last October, ranked 8th, and the 'Yuja Mint Tea,' which was also in the top 10 sales last year, took 9th place.
Other beverages ranked 4th to 7th were 'Decaffeinated Caffe Americano,' 'Vanilla Cream Cold Brew,' 'Starbucks Dolce Latte,' and 'Cold Brew,' respectively. In 10th place was the 'Strawberry Delight Yogurt Blended.' The Decaffeinated Caffe Americano surpassed 100 million cumulative sales in May this year.
Lee Myunghoon, head of the beverage team at Starbucks Korea, said, "In addition to Jamong Honey Black Tea, the Starbucks Classic Milk Tea, introduced last year, entered the top 10 sales for the first time, showing a continued strong trend for tea beverages. Due to continuous customer requests, Peach Iced and Hot Tea will also be available for regular sale starting January 1st. Starbucks will do its best to ensure that products reflecting customer needs continue to be loved."
