Gangseo-gu, the Gateway to Seoul, Produces Tourist Guide Maps in Four Languages Tourist Guide Map of Gangseo-gu in Korean. Provided by Gangseo-gu.

The front side of the map includes the location of Gangseo-gu along with a general map, organized to allow easy access to tourist spots, public facilities, shopping areas, and transportation throughout Gangseo-gu. Notably, popular facilities frequently visited by tourists such as Seoul Botanical Garden, LG Arts Center, and COEX Magok, as well as local landmarks like Heojun Theme Street, are enhanced with intuitive illustrations and enlarged maps for added convenience.

The back side of the map elaborates on the information from the front by theme, introducing detailed information and photos about Gangseo’s festivals, historical sites, cultural explorations, natural scenery, popular restaurants, traditional markets, and shopping malls.

Additionally, the Magok district, recognized as a hot place among the MZ generation, is separately featured, and guidance on the Gangseo walking tour course called ‘Gangseo Ttubok-i Travel’ is included to effectively convey the area's charm and enhance travel convenience.

The map is foldable and can be directly linked via smartphone, making it easily accessible for tourists who prefer online maps. The guide map is initially produced in Korean and English, with Chinese and Japanese versions scheduled for release in the first half of next year. This tourist guide map will be distributed at major tourist information centers in Seoul, airports, hotels, and will also be posted on the district’s website for easy public access.

The district anticipates a sharp increase in tourists visiting Gangseo-gu due to the completion of the Magok Cultural Street and the opening of COEX Magok, and plans to actively promote Gangseo’s appeal by developing various customized services and content for tourists alongside the production of this guide map.

Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon stated, “Gangseo is an attractive city where historical value and modern convenience harmonize,” adding, “The newly produced map will serve as a great guide to easily discover Gangseo’s hidden gems and charms.” He further said, “We will widely promote Gangseo’s appeal to the world through continuous expansion of tourism infrastructure and publicity.”
