American aircraft manufacturer Boeing expressed condolences on the 29th regarding the Jeju Air passenger plane accident that occurred at Muan International Airport in Jeollanam-do.

A Boeing spokesperson told the British Guardian on the same day, "We are in contact with the airline regarding Jeju Air flight 2216 and are ready to support them."
They added, "We extend our deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones" and "We also send our sympathies to the passengers and crew."
The accident occurred at 9:03 a.m. when Jeju Air flight 7C2216 from Bangkok, Thailand, attempted to land on the runway at Muan International Airport but crashed. The aircraft collided with the outer wall of the runway, breaking apart and catching fire.
The aircraft involved was a Boeing B737-800, carrying a total of 181 people, including 175 passengers and 6 crew members. According to the Fire Agency, 2 people have been rescued so far, and 122 are confirmed dead.
