This event was hosted by Gumi City and organized by the Gumi Electronics and Information Technology Institute and the Gyeongbuk Center for Creative Economy and Innovation.
The term "Topping Alley" refers to alleys newly decorated by adding creative small business items, much like adding toppings to a pizza.
The performance sharing meeting was divided into two parts. In the first part, various support project achievements and best practices aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of local small business owners were presented.
The Local Creator Development Project emphasized its achievements by providing branding transformation funds and customized education to small business owners who create value using local content. The Our Neighborhood Store Artterior Support Project contributed by improving store exteriors and interiors, transforming small business shops into artistic and creative spaces. The DaeDaeSonSonGa Business Succession Support Project assisted small business owners who have continued their family business for over 20 years and completed succession, helping preserve historical value while promoting sustainable growth.
In the second part, to directly hear voices from the field, Mayor Kim Jang-ho and small business owners exchanged opinions and communicated through memo boards.
This year, Gumi City selected 15 local creators with original ideas leading regional value creation and supported them with customized consulting and 20 million KRW each in commercialization funds. Through the Our Neighborhood Store Artterior Support Project, 28 recipients received up to 4 million KRW each for design improvement costs. Additionally, the DaeDaeSonSonGa Business Succession Support Project provided comprehensive branding support worth 15 million KRW each to 5 recipients, aiming to strengthen the competitiveness of local small business owners.
Mayor Kim Jang-ho stated, "Through this performance sharing meeting, we were able to hear the vivid opinions of small business owners, and we plan to actively reflect these in our policies. We will continue to discover effective support policies for revitalizing the local economy and ensuring stable management for small business owners."
For next year, Gumi City has allocated budgets to strengthen small business competitiveness, including: 3 billion KRW for the Small Business New Hope Special Guarantee Fund and 2.26 billion KRW for interest subsidies to ease loan burdens for local small business owners; 1.6 billion KRW for the Credit Card Fee Support Project to reduce management burdens for small business owners with annual sales under 100 million KRW; 480 million KRW for the Small Business Birth Support Aibodeum Project providing substitute labor costs after childbirth for small business owners and their spouses; and 170 million KRW for the Small Business New Wind Change-up Project supporting management environment improvements for small business owners with startups over six months. These various small business policy and support project budgets are aimed at stabilizing small business management and revitalizing the local economy.
