Securing Materials Such as CCTV

The police conducted a search and seizure at the workplace of Song Min-ho, a member of the group 'WINNER,' in connection with allegations of negligent duty during his social service work.

The Mapo Police Station in Seoul announced that they carried out the search and seizure at the Mapo Resident Convenience Facility in Mapo-gu, Seoul, where Song was assigned, starting around 1:50 a.m. on the 27th. It is reported that the police secured closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from Song's workplace.

Song is suspected of neglecting his duties, including failing to properly report to work while serving as a social service agent at a facility in Mapo-gu, Seoul. Previously, an entertainment media outlet raised suspicions that Song, who was performing alternative military service, had issues with his service attitude, such as not adhering to his reporting times. Song’s discharge date was on the 23rd.

The police received a request for investigation from the Military Manpower Administration on the same day and subsequently booked Song on charges of violating the Military Service Act. The date for his summons has not been decided. The Military Manpower Administration is reportedly considering canceling his discharge and requiring him to serve again for the period during which problems were identified if his service attitude is confirmed to be problematic.

As the controversy over Song’s negligent duty grew, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon ordered an urgent comprehensive survey on the service status of social service agents across Seoul and its affiliated organizations.
